Red Rooster Zoo Farm’s New Arrivals Settle In

The most recent additions to the Red Rooster Zoo Farm seem to be settling in to their new home.

Staff at the farm created a new enclosure for our Porcupines, which they certainly seemed relaxed in! After a long week of showers they seem to be enjoying basking in the warmer weather, especially after a long day entertaining our visitors!

Here at Twinlakes we love having new breeds of animals to add to the large variety we already home.

The tail of a young piggy called Al.

I am sure by now you are all well aware of our new little piggy arrival at Gruff Goat Farm, Wheelgate Family Theme Park, Nottingham but here is a little reminder…

One cold day last week one week old runaway piglet took refuge in a Alpaca Pen at Wheelgate Park.  After ringing around local farms and parks farm staff could still not locate little Al’s mum so we enlisted the help of the local media and press in a worldwide campaign to get him home.

After Al’s busy week of stardom he has finally got some peace and quiet and been able to settle into his new home at Wheelgate’s Gruff Goat Farm.  Staff are very pleased with his progress.  Day by day Al gets stronger and livelier and has now started skipping merrily around his new barn.

Having a storm at Twinlakes!!!

Wow!!! What crazy weather we had yesterday.  We had hail the size of golf balls landing in the park at Twinlakes one point.

Several of staff members were gutting to find there car’s damaged afterwards.  From dents to smashed windscreens we had it all!!!

Following this aftermath the park staff have been very busy today with clearing and repairing all the damage ready for the weekend but you will be glad to know all rides and attractions are still fully operational.

The tail of the runaway piggy!!!

Our sister park Wheelgate Family Theme Park, nottingham has been kept on its toes this week with tonnes of excitement following the discovery of a runaway piglet in their alpaca pen!!

The one week old piglet recently known by the name of Al, was a surprising discovery for farm staff at gruff goat farm whilst they were feeding the alpacas on Friday afternoon. Wheelgate do not have any pigs on their family so everyone was a little baffled to say the least.

Only being approximately a week old staffs prime aril instincts where to return the little runaway to its mother. The search begins...

After ring around the local farms and parks within the area with no success the Wheelgate team have decided to take the search more global with Facebook, tv and radio campaigns.

Hopefully little Al will find his mummy!!

In the mean time little Al is being vey well looked after by catering manager Jay Bloomfield who takes the little tyke home for late night bottle feeds.

So the story continues ...
